RESEARCH PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR/MANAGER

Responsibilities:

  • Lead research strategy and operations
    • Identify and evaluate research opportunities that could support JOOL’s sales, marketing or product development efforts
      Develop and enforce research policies, procedures, and protocols
      Recommend both strategic and tactical improvements or changes to product based on research findings
  • Plan and execute research projects
    • Ensure project scope is clearly defined
    • Assist in the design of study protocol
    • Recruit study participants, including obtaining informed consent
    • Develop and administer surveys, interviews and focus groups
    • Lead research team to complete projects within allotted timelines and budgets
    • Monitor project progress, status, and issues regularly and report the same to management and customers
    • Prepare and present project documentation and research report
  • Maintain and expand relationships with strategically important large customers
    • Act as primary contact for research-related client communications

Necessary Skills:

  • Experience managing research efforts including studies with human subjects
  • Experience soliciting participants for studies
  • Experience developing study designs, developing and conducting surveys, recruiting participants, and communicating clearly and effectively with participants
  • Experience conducting data analysis and developing reports
  • Understanding of legal and privacy issues as they relate to study subjects, including knowledge of HIPAA regulations
  • Working knowledge of regulations for conduct of research involving human subjects
  • Able to independently set and meet deadlines, and motivate others to meet deadlines
  • Customer centric attitude and responsive to customer needs
  • Able to work with different organizational management levels from C-suite to managers
  • Able to work with cross-functional teams including engineers, managers, health behaviorists, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in healthcare or scientific program
  • A minimum of five (5) years full-time experience leading or managing projects that integrate scientific, legal, and privacy issues
  • Experience working with email marketing and survey tools
  • Strong data analysis skills and knowledge of tools (such as R or JMP)

SOFTWARE ENGINEER

If you’re flexible and collaborative with a strong software engineering foundation, we’d love to hear from you. We’re interested in some combination of native iOS, native Android, JavaScript (preferably Ember), Java, Python or PostgreSQL experience. Being an expert in all is not critical, but a strong background in one or more is necessary. Even more importantly, we’re looking for people with the ability and desire to learn new things and and a strong interest in the latest technologies. And, of course, a strong commitment to quality with an understanding of code management and software development best practices is critical.
